Chrome extension
StatWP where you already research
Rank, momentum and install estimates on wordpress.org itself. No second tab, no copying slugs.
Free. Works with a StatWP account for member data.
What it adds
Stats on every listing
A card in the sidebar of any plugin or theme page: 30 day download trend, momentum, catalog rank, install estimate, rating, freshness and support resolution rate.
Search results, annotated
Every result card gains its StatWP rank with 7 day movement, plus freshness, active installs, rating and minimum PHP version. Read a whole page at a glance.
Compare without leaving
Open a comparison on the listing itself. StatWP picks the closest competitor by rank within shared tags, so you get an answer without hunting for one.
One click into the tools
Analyse a listing's reviews, research a keyword's niche, or start tracking growth. The buttons sit where the decision happens.
Quiet rank alerts
The toolbar icon badges when something you track moves significantly, with a notification naming what moved and where it landed.
Signed out stays local
Everything shown comes from the public WordPress.org API, and the extension makes no request to StatWP at all until you sign in.
Where it appears
| Page | What you get |
|---|---|
| Plugin and theme pages | Stats card, comparison, review analysis button |
| Search results | Rank and movement, freshness, installs, rating, PHP |
| Tag pages | Rank pills and a niche research shortcut |
| Support forum reviews | Review analysis shortcut |
| Address bar | Type sw followed by a slug to jump to any plugin |
What you see, by plan
Anyone
Downloads, active installs, rating, freshness, support resolution, PHP support. All from the public WordPress.org API.
Signed in
Catalog rank and 7 day movement, momentum, install estimates finer than the directory's own buckets, and one auto picked competitor to compare against.
Paid plans
Choose the competitor yourself, plus the higher tracking and analysis limits your plan already includes.
Limits and current usage are shown in the extension popup. See plans.
Privacy
The extension checks for a StatWP session cookie locally, so a signed out browser sends nothing to StatWP. Signed in, it requests your plan and the member figures for the listing you are viewing, and reports the keyword you searched so ranks can be sampled. It never reads cookie values, and contacts no host other than WordPress.org and StatWP.
