I was tinkering with events plugins and finally found they were all over-qualified for what I needed. After spending 10 minutes with some serious thinking over a Rum Orange, I decided I actually didn’t need default Posts for this...

Allows you to edit the CPT (Custom Post Types) that you get with most themes. Change their names and other elements to suit your needs. Great plugin.
