If you edit on the command line or something to add media to /var/www/html/wp-content/uploads then the WordPress Database don’t see them. This plug can scan’s them and it will show you the ones not in the Database and you check that box...

I needed to add some PDFs to the Media Library that were uploaded via FTP, without changing their location. This plugin did that. 👍
